Dave Koz, who received a 2023 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, was born and raised in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley. He initially saw the saxophone as a way to gain entry into his big brother’s band. After graduating from UCLA with a degree in mass communications, Koz decided to become a professional musician. Oddly, the ship does not feature an outdoor running track though. Also absent are other popular outdoor amusements on family cruise lines, like mini golf.

Live entertainment at Le Cabaret Rouge got started around 8pm each night. The quality of the acts was inconsistent, but the overall vibe of the venue is thoroughly enjoyable. During our sailing, Chora Theater hosted nightly shows ranging from single-performer concerts to elaborate musicals. The entertainment itself was hit or miss; owing to MSC's multilingual audience, the shows often had to rely on universal forms of entertainment.

We've said before that the perks of the Yacht Club make booking an interior suite here better than a bigger cabin elsewhere on the ship, and this opinion holds true on MSC Seascape. MSC Seascape features 140,000 square feet of public outdoor space, reinforcing the notion that this is indeed a ship for warm weather sailings. While this wasn't super useful during our December sailing from Bermuda to New York City, the ship's Caribbean itineraries from PortMiami will make all the outdoor space shine.

Speaking of shows, MSC offers a variety of entertainment options throughout the cruise, including a number of great bands and singers. Many of their shows feature music to better appeal to the diverse international clientele, some of whom do not speak English. The Marketplace Buffet & Restaurant is the regular choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner on any given day. It takes up more than half of Deck 19, so space is plentiful, and lines were never too long during our sailing. The Marketplace also features a look reminiscent of a Parisian bistro.
According to them, MSC Seascape is nearly identical to MSC Seashore; however, the one major difference is the addition of ROBOTRON, a thrill ride. Practically identical to its sister ship MSC Seashore, MSC Seascape features the same glitzy, shimmering aesthetic inspired by the bright lights of New York City. Yet MSC Seascape is slightly larger; the 170,000-gross-ton vessel can accommodate 5,877 passengers, about 145 more than MSC Seashore. These activities, while an up-charge, are among the most thrilling and high-tech at sea.
For cruisers staying in the MSC Yacht Club, there is a private sundeck all the way forward on Deck 20. A nearby exclusive pool, bar, loungers, and a starboard side whirlpool are available to Yacht Club guests. Signature activity areas on MSC Seascape include Adventure Trail (outdoor playground with rope courses, net bridges, crawl-through slides) and Zip-Line (length 130 m / 427 ft).
This adrenaline-pumping attraction is $11 for an approximately 3 minute ride. There are varying thrill levels for all cruisers to enjoy this attraction. Above the pool, there are some table games like foosball and ping pong, as well as additional seating.

Although not lacking in adult-friendly appeal, MSC is a family cruise line at heart. And you don't have to look too hard around MSC Seascape understand why.
